Kuartal exists to build the capital, media and research infrastructure that lets Southeast Asia's next generation of founders, investors and institutions grow an economy that is regenerative and fair. We report what markets do to margins — and what they do to people and the planet. That is the full ledger, and it is the only ledger we treat as honest.
How we work
Independent, not indifferent
We have a view about what an economy is for — regenerative and fair. But no sponsor, client, government or preference of our own decides what a piece of analysis concludes. The evidence does.
Show the evidence
A reader — or an investor — should always be able to see why we said what we said. We ask people to trust the evidence, never the author.
Publish the strongest case against
Every thesis we back is accompanied by the most serious opposing argument, stated in its strongest form, plus what evidence would prove us wrong.

Kuartal.id started as a digital media company, then expanded into a research think tank for economics and a publishing house.
